ConsentBloom is the notary
The signing link is the surface. The job underneath is keeping a trustworthy record of what was signed, when, and by whom — so chase and find still work months later.
Solo US lash, brow, and wax artists can already get a form signed somehow. PDF in email. Google Forms. Jotform. A screenshot in the thread.
What fails later is not the blank. It is the record. Did she sign this visit? Which file was it? Was it last year's form with the old allergy list? The artist digs, and the answer lives in luck.
The leftover job
I have been writing the same product shape from different edges.
- Not a form builder. Fixed templates. The form is an ingredient.
- Email-first. The invite and the reminder can carry the same link.
- Architecture before the landing page. The claim has to be true first.
- The signing link is the product surface. Clients and artists actually touch that.
Under the link sits a quieter job: keep what happened. Send → chase → find only works if something remembers status and the signed copy. A PDF attachment has no memory. A thread has no status. A screenshot is a rumor with pixels.
Notary as metaphor
When I say ConsentBloom is the notary, I mean the custodian of the consent record. Not a licensed notary public. Not legal advice. Not a promise about courts.
I mean the role that answers: what was signed, when, by whom, against which template, and whether the chase is still open. The signing link is how people reach that record. ConsentBloom is how the record stays attached.
A notary, in ordinary language, is the person who keeps the signing honest enough that you can point back to it later. That is the product job here. Witness the event. Keep the artifact findable. Do not leave the artist hunting through inboxes months later.
What that changes
If ConsentBloom is the notary, a few other things stay out of scope on purpose.
The calendar stays in Square or Booksy. ConsentBloom sits beside booking, not instead of it. The form fields are not the product. The product is the durable consent record behind the link.
That is why chasing matters. A reminder is not a new PDF. It is another knock on the same door. Find later is not a search through screenshots. It is opening the same place and seeing what already happened.
Honesty about the shape
This is a product-decision note, not a launch. Appointments can stay manual. The artist can still type the visit by hand. I am not claiming a finished badge wall, a finished integration story, or a finished channel list.
I am naming the role under the signing link: ConsentBloom keeps the consent record so send → chase → find has somewhere true to land.
The short answer
If someone asks what ConsentBloom is, after you have said the signing link is the surface, the short answer is: the notary of the consent record. Metaphor, not a license. Custodian, not a courtroom claim.
The blog will have more of this. There's RSS if you want it in a reader.
