The signing link is the product

Clients and artists actually touch the signing link. Not a PDF in email, not a portal login — one durable place to sign, chase, and find later.

Solo US lash, brow, and wax artists already email PDFs and form links. That part is solved enough.

The leftover work is not a prettier form. It is send → chase → find, and the thing clients and artists actually touch is the signing link.

What already fails

Artists already know how to get a form in front of a client. They attach a PDF. They paste a Google Forms or Jotform link. They ask again the night before. The form is not the hard part.

The failure is the chase, and then the later find. Did she sign? Which thread was it in? Is this the right file, or last year's screenshot? A prettier field list does not answer those questions.

One durable place

A signing link is the capability. One durable place the client opens to sign, and the artist can return to later and see what happened.

That is the product surface. Not a PDF attachment dumped in email. Not a portal login maze. Not another blank form. The link is what makes send → chase → find work, because it is the same place for the invite, the reminder, and the later lookup.

A PDF is a file. A link has a job.

A PDF attachment is a snapshot. It sits in a thread. It has no status. You cannot remind it. You cannot ask it whether this client has signed. You search email and hope.

A signing link can carry the rest of the job:

  • Status: you can see whether the client opened it and whether they signed.
  • Reminders: you chase the same place, not invent a new message with a new file.
  • Findability: you come back to the signed copy without digging through threads and screenshots.

The file is an artifact. The link is the capability.

Same decisions, one surface

This is the same product I have been writing down, just named at the place people actually touch.

  • Not a form builder. Fixed templates. The form is an ingredient.
  • Email-first. The invite and the reminder can carry the same link.
  • Beside Square and Booksy, not instead of them. The calendar stays where it is.
  • Architecture before marketing polish. The link has to be true before the landing page can say it.

Honesty about the shape

This post is not a launch. It is a product-decision note about the capability, not a claim that every channel is finished. Appointments can stay manual. The artist can still type the visit by hand. Integrations are not a prerequisite for the link to be the product.

I am saying what the customer-facing thing is: one durable signing link, not a PDF in the inbox.

The short answer

If someone asks what clients and artists actually use, the short answer is the signing link. That is the product surface. The rest of ConsentBloom is how we keep send → chase → find attached to it.

The blog will have more of this. There's RSS if you want it in a reader.
